Milan is an attorney specializing in civil litigation and environmental law. She is also a PADI certified Divemaster, and PADI certified Mermaid Instructor.

In her spare time, Milan cultivates coral in her home reef aquarium and regularly scuba dives in the Pacific Ocean. Her hands-on experience with aquaculture and diving gives her a firsthand understanding of the current state of marine ecosystems and how fish, coral, and marine mammals thrive in their natural environment.

This unique perspective informs her work in ocean and coastal law and policy, where she focuses on developing and supporting solutions to sustain and protect our oceans. Milan also advises law firms on strategies to improve sustainability while advancing climate change initiatives.

Milan serves as a board member of the Aquatic Futures Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to training and preparing young adults to become certified scientific scuba divers while supporting their entry into the marine science workforce.

She is also a member and content creator for the Black & Brown women’s scuba diving club, @DeepBlueDiveCrew, which introduces, trains, and certifies women as recreational divers at no cost. Expanding diversity within the scuba diving community is a core priority for Milan, and she actively documents and supports the journeys of new divers.
